The Un-Common Theatre Company seeks to develop children’s confidence, self-esteem, teamwork and effective life skills in a safe environment in which creativity and appropriate risk-taking are encouraged. We also provide opportunities for children to learn from young adults and for young adults to mentor children. For those who may not seek the spotlight of the stage, we also offer opportunities to join our backstage and technical teams which are an integral part of each production. Each of these teams is led by a technical professional or experienced crew chief.
As a volunteer organization, Un-Common also seeks adult volunteers to support our productions. Parents, friends and community members can help with costuming, set building and painting, props, backstage crew, publicity and much more. Joining us is a sure-fire way to enrich young lives, enhance your own life, and ensure the on-going success of The Un-Common Theatre Company.
We perform four shows a year at various locations, have an improvisational comedy troupe and offer audition and tech workshops. read more….
